Joy Christmas Cross Stitch

Geisha Girl #2

Yeah the set is now done!

More Finished Projects

I sort of had a marathon day of finishing cross stitch projects. One I had started in 1997 (the six santa's) and others many years after that. I love to cross stitch, I really just hate the outlining part. I try to avoid projects that have heavy outlining.

Santa Cross Stitch

Yeah, something done before Christmas this year! Now if I can just get it framed, that will be an achievement.

Sea Shells

Christmas Kittens

I have been working on this one for a while. Although it's not even the right season, better late than never.

Butterflys

I found this finished project in a box, thought I would share.

Hoppy Easter

So here  is another fabulous Easter decoration painted by me. I'm debating about adding glitter to some of the eggs, but for now it will do.

HOP

I love to paint ceramics. I'm not a huge fan of glazing because you have to fire the item and then like wait a week to get back the item you painted, and well it never looks as good as you imagine. So I choose to paint already fired stuff (bisque ware) with acrylic paint, then spray on a glossy finish.  So here is a new addition to my Easter Decoration collection.

Unfinished Project Pile

Every crafter has this box, bin, bag. A place where half finished projects go to either die or in my case get moved around year after year. I have half done sewing projects that when off track, but too much work had gone into them to trash them. I also have cross stitch projects, that after weeks of working on them I discover a huge mistake, run out of color, or just plain don't want to finish the outlining part of the project. So they go into the "I get to that another day" bin. Recently I started re-organizing my crafts and craft room and came across this bin. And I made a promise to myself. For every 2 new projects I start, I have to finish 1 out of this bin. So I started working on some Easter stuff, and here then is my promos to finish one out of the bin.

This wall hanging was about 75% done when I ran out of one color and got too lazy to get to the craft store to replace it. I also discovered a big mistake and took the time to correct it. So now it's done. And it only took 5 years to finish it. Yea me!!!
